Our company’s history in organ moving and transport began in 2018 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Church in Boisbriand. In 2018, the church was planning major renovations and contacted us to move their organ. ”You are a piano mover …you must be able to transport and organ!” We quickly learned that this was not a simple task, as the organ was of great value to the church.
In the 1980s, the church acquired the organ directly from the Quebec Organ Festival . When we heard about this acquisition, we were hesitant to take on the move, as we did not have the experience or equipment to move an organ of this value and size. However, we decided to take on the challenge and went on site to assess the work to be done.
We also had to determine what moving equipment we needed to build to successfully move the organ. Fortunately, the church administration was very supportive throughout the process and helped us find the resources we needed. In the end, we managed to move the organ, which is now a valuable part of the church. With our experience and expertise, we were able to successfully transport the organ and ensure it arrived safely at its new home.
